Job Description

Responsible for overseeing Worker’s Compensation, FMLA & ADA program at AHP. Maintain all information regarding WC, FMLA & ADA.

1. Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.). Ensures that the workers’ compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws.

2. Independently approves and/or denies leave cases based on relevant medical information. Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed. Ensures that all reportable workers’ compensation claims are submitted to the company’s vendor within 48 business hours from the date of the incident.

3. Works closely with employee's to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review. Maintains appropriate contact with all employees and Management team on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work for employees on leave.

4. Work with legal team and TPA to ensure management and monitoring of Worker’s Compensation claims and high risk injuries.

5. Create and facilitate training to all management staff in leave administration and workers’ compensation programs.

6. Responsible for company OSHA 300A form completion and filing. 

7. Serve as Benefits backup for the payroll and benefits process. 

8. Performs all other duties as assigned or required.


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and a minimum of 1 year work experience with Worker's Compensation, FMLA & ADA Leave management.
• Work Experience with ADP- WFN/HRB Software, computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
