Job Description

Job Purpose:  As the Account Payable Supervisor at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose is to supervise, train and evaluate account payable specialists and enhance their performance and work productivity.  As Supervisor, you will address employee recognition, moral, performance issues and make recommendations for personnel actions. 


These functions include – but not limited too – Responsible for all activities in accounts payable functions, which include 1099 filing, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices, expense vouchers, accurate records; review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy.  Manage accounting functions related to accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.  Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, and ensure the department functions adherence to company guidelines.  Manage monthly closing of accurate financial records and posting of month end information relating to accounts payable.  Provide assistance to managers and operation staff by responding to financial questions/concerns to meet organization needs.  Act as liaison between the company and government and any external vendors to meet informational needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.


Mostly importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Position qualifications:  Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire’s insurance company.

  • High School Diploma
  • Five or more years of accounting experience

  • One or more years of supervisory experience

Experience with generally accounting principles and accounting software


Other qualifications:  Experience working with 1099 filing.  Strong personal computer and business solutions skills.  Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with managers, vendors, and upper management.  Good communication skills for communication effectively with support personnel and management.  Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.  Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
