BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide assessment, admission services, and crisis intervention as required.

REQUIRED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assess a client’s mental status and determine diagnostic impressions.
• Facilitates placement into the appropriate program that meets the clients’ treatment/ service needs.
• Provides counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to clients as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources in order to make appropriate referrals.
• Lead and facilitate group counseling for clients assigned to the Access Center crisis group.
• Accurately completes all necessary documentation and paperwork in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:           

• High School Diploma  

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS    

• Bachelors’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related filed required along with a valid Florida’s driver’s license.         

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelors’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related filed may be substituted wit one year work experience.

List any other physical requirements:

• May need to assist with seclusion/ restraint of a client in an emergency setting.
• Ability to drive and use personal automobile or agency vehicle.
• Must posses a valid Florida’s driver’s license and a good driving record.
