Job Description

As an EHR Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of duties to in order to obtain and process clinical/medical/administrative workflows to aid in the successful utilization of Aspire Health Partner’s EHR. These functions include – but are not limited to – working closely with several multi-disciplinary departments to determine regulatory requirements and documentation standards to be translated from paper forms and processes to electronic versions; examine the workflows to identify efficiencies that can be enhanced through the use of computerized records systems; create, design, test and launch the new modules of the EHR or assist in the adaptation of the new modules to various departments; monitor and evaluate healthcare documentation for compliance with all Federal, state, county, municipal, accreditation and contracting bodies; incorporate service industry best practice standards and internal standards of care; develop and facilitate the training of EHR users; and assist in the preparation of reports, proposals and presentations.   Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • At least four years’ successful experience working/interning in a research facility, quality assurance department, hospital/clinic, corrections environment, managed care office, municipal, county, state or federal government or behavioral healthcare organization specifically with electronic health records.
  • Master’s degree in a computer-related field.

 

Other qualifications: The successful candidate will:   (1) have an inclination towards being savvy in the informatics field and show capabilities to learn and engage in critical thinking, data entry, problem solving, successful communicating with others, gaining cooperation from others, reporting and distribution, (2) have a working knowledge of systems and process indigenous to companies like Aspire Health Partners, (3) have the ability to quickly learn company processes, (4) possess intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word skills, and will have a working knowledge of database and application processes, (5) be able to positively handle stress indigenous to performing in a perpetual training/supportive customer service role to Aspire Health Partner’s clinical and administrative staff, (6) be organized and assist in the development of approved, well-documented workflows and systems to assist in understanding how systems are developed and how they are operationalized, and (7) be a team player.
