Job Description

Job Purpose:

1. Verify or send a request to complete an MH or SA Admission record in the electronic health record.

a. Determine whether or not a MH or SA outcome currently exists in the electronic health record.

b.     If necessary, request the outcome be completed by the responsible clinician.  

•        Using critical thinking skills, employee will consider several elements before requesting a new MH or SA outcome. These elements include, but are not limited to: Episode of Care, Guarantor on service, Outcome history, etc.

c.      Ensures timely receipt of completed MH or SA outcomes.

•        Employee will keep track of requests for data on spreadsheets of service rejections, missing outcomes, and data on exception reports; as well as follow-up with the Clinician who fail to return a completed request in the allotted time frame.

 

2. Once outcomes are successfully completed in the electronic health record this information might need to be transcribed to Central Florida Cares Health System Database (CFCHS).

a. Determine whether or not an Admission record already exist in CFCHS.

b. If no record is found, and the outcome cannot be uploaded due to any errors the employee will transcribe all data from the electronic health record to CFCHS.

•        Employee will reference instructions sheet provided to determine any information not   available in the electronic health record. These fields include, but are not limited to: Rater ID, Site Identifier, Contract No., etc.

•        Using critical thinking skills, employee will evaluate, and re-consider any fields that appear to be answered incorrectly and therefore causing an error in CFCHS.

•        If a field is not accepted (according to the information provided in the electronic health record, by the clinician), the Data Reclamation Specialist will contact the responsible staff member to inform him / or her of acceptable responses, and suggest that the data be corrected to allow for successful submission.

 

3. Successfully complete and update data from exception reports.

a. Determine the necessary steps that need to be taken in the electronic health record and in CFCHS Database to comply with requests from Central Florida Cares Health System.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • Minimum of High School diploma or Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, MIS, or Computer Science is preferred.

 

Other qualifications: Possess intermediate-advanced Excel and Word skills, and should have working knowledge of database operations.
