Job Description

Will be responsible for the clinical staff of supervisors, therapists, assessors, discharge planners and interns on all acute care units at the Kassab campus, including the crisis stabilization units for adults and children, as well as, the SRT unit. Responsible for assuring proper levels of staffing and the highest level of care is being provided in all areas of responsibility. Responsible for Mental Health Court and assuring that proper procedures are being followed and regulatory standards are being met. Responsible for any special projects and grants related to programming at this location. Further, responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the program.


• Responsible for coordination, administration and operation of acute care clinical/discharge services, including transitional planning and linkage to step-down services.

• Hire and provide supervision, consultation and leadership to clinical supervisors and other staff as assigned.

• Assumes a leadership role in the development of new programs and the development of quality of care standards in the existing programs/units.

• Assures compliance with rules, standards and contracts as pertains to acute care clinical services, including all regulatory bodies and certification requirements.

• Contributes to the development of program evaluation and productivity standards designed to promote effectiveness of services and superior customer service.

• Able to prepare and follow budgets and business plans. • Able to perform basic computer skills.

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with partners in the community while maintaining the highest standards of customer service to the community.

• Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and executive management.


Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in a mental health related field

• Minimum of five years management experience

• A valid Florida driver’s license

• Must have licensure in the behavioral health field, which is current and in good standing.  (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. 

• Must have computer knowledge and experience in electronic health records and Microsoft Office products.
