Job Description

Job Purpose: As Peer Support at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in order to carry out the purpose of the Positively Empowered Program in collaboration with the Board of Directors. These functions include – but are not limited to – using lived experience to assist consumers to achieve and maintain recovery from mental health, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. Responsible for interpreting and translating behavioral health communications, both verbal and written between consumer and clinician, ensuring accurate information is relayed. Provide outreach to engage individuals in services and to increase their self-sufficiency. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology, or related Human Services field preferred. Must be eligible for certification as Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS). Current certification preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental health, substance, or co-occurring disorders, and/or individuals who are at risk of HIV or are living with HIV preferred.

Job Requirements

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • HS diploma or equivalency, and preferred HIV experience
