Job Description

Job Purpose: As a Pharmacy Technician Intern at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose is to provide a multitude of services to effectively carry out the essential functions of the pharmacy. Under direction and supervision of Pharmacy Manager and the Lead Pharmacy Technician, the Pharmacy Technician Intern must strive to perform all essential pharmacy technician functions learned during training in an accurate and efficient manner. These essential functions include – but are not limited to – providing excellent customer service and completing assignments such as counting and labeling medications, retrieving medications and restocking shelves, recording client information at the prescription drop-off area and completing sales transactions in the Point-of Sale system, responding appropriately to customer requests, and preparing the pharmacy for the next business day activities. Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhering to agency policies and procedures. Successful completion of this program may lead to employment as a Pharmacy Technician 1 at Aspire Health Partners.                                    

Job Requirements

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

•         Level II Background clearance

•        Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire’s insurance company.

Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida and license must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

Other qualifications:

Must be a recent graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program in the State of Florida, having successfully completed an externship in a retail, community or clinic pharmacy. Customer service experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others in a close environment is required. This is a 1-year program to assess the employee’s ability to perform routine pharmacy technician functions in a busy outpatient pharmacy environment.
