Job Purpose: As a Pharmacy Technician 2 at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose is to provide a multitude of services to effectively carry out the daily functions of the pharmacy and associated programs. Under direction and supervision of Pharmacy Manager and the Lead Pharmacy Technician, the Pharmacy Technician 2 must strive to perform all essential pharmacy technician functions at an exceptional level. The essential functions include – but are not limited to – providing exceptional customer service in person or by telephone, completing assignments accurately and efficiently and this includes outpatient computer order entry, counting and labeling medications, packaging medications, generate daily reports as assigned, and prepare the pharmacy for the next business day activities. In addition to the essential functions, the MTM Specialist will compile, review and sort all insurance company requests for medication management reviews on behalf of the pharmacist, track these requests to ensure pharmacist follow-up in a timely manner and in addition, will provide support resolving claims reimbursement issues. Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhering to agency policies and procedures.  

Job Requirements

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

•         Level II Background clearance

•        Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire’s insurance company.

Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida and license must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

Other qualifications: (work experience, computer abilities, etc.)

A minimum of 6 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a fast-paced, high volume, community, retail or clinic pharmacy, with at least 4 years of that experience performing computer order entry, communicating with physicians’ offices on prescription problems, counting, labeling medications, and providing customer service in person or by telephone. The Medication Therapy Management Specialist must have at least 2 years of experience working with pharmacists routinely providing MTM services to customers. Exceptional customer service, excellent verbal skills and the ability to work with others in a close environment is required.
