Job Description


To provide the people of Central Florida, compassionate, comprehensive and cost effective behavioral healthcare that is focus on individualized recovery.

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of psychiatric clients in the acute care setting.
• Responsible for ensuring continuity of care.
• Supervises the care provided by LPN’s, Mental Health Technicians and others assigned.
• Participates in the client family teaching.
• Advocates on the behalf of the clients while focusing on the mission of the company.


• Demonstrates the ability to provide direct nursing care to clients
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain a leadership role and assists/directs behavioral intervention for    agitated, combative and aggressive clients.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify and assess client psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of actions, side effects and contraindications of all medications administered.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer client medications according to appropriate Standards of Care,                                                                                                                                                       in an effort to minimize medication errors.
• Demonstrates the ability to provide client education related to medications, disease processes and activities of daily living (ADL’s).
• Demonstrates the ability to document client treatment progress, condition changes and thoroughly complete required paperwork in a timely manner according to appropriate Standards of Care and organizational policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates the ability to assist physicians with coordinating client care including accurate transcription and implementation of physician orders.
• Demonstrates the ability to complete all required in-service training requirements before annual review and maintain licensure compliance.
• Demonstrates the ability to adhere to company dress code and represents the company in a positive and professional manner.
• Demonstrates the ability to report to work on time and schedule time off with proper notification according to organization policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:           

• High School Diploma

Minimum Work Experiences

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.  
• Licensed in the state of Florida.


• Nursing License State of Florida


• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Florida Licensed.
