Job Description

Perform duties to conduct pre-admission and behavioralassessments and diagnoses, determine potential client suitability for agency programs,and plan and implement psychological therapeutic and counseling processes to aidindividuals with single or multiple diagnoses, groups of clients and families indealing with substance abuse and mental health problems, providing services under parametersof designated program and within prescribed setting, guided by precedent and within thelimits of established policies.
Currently Recruiting for the following shifts:
(1) fulltime positions
9:00am - 5:00pm
11:30am - 7:30pm

• Utilize counseling methods, techniques and modalities asadopted by designated program andprovide therapeutic treatment for multiple problem diagnosis and counselclients individually and in group sessions to assist them with mental healthissues, chemical dependency recovery program and in modifying behavior.Counselclient family members to assist them in dealing with and providing support forthe client.
• Continually assess client progress and monitor clientcondition to evaluate successoftherapy.Track progress and adapttreatment plans to suit client needs. Refer clients for psychiatric treatmentas required.  Determine the requirementsfor a urine test to determine presence of addictive substances, order testing,monitor urination for testing and prepare specimen for test processing.
• Refer clients or families to other support services asappropriate and within the parametersof designated program, such as medical evaluation and treatment,socialservices and employment services and prepare and maintain required documentationfor chain of custody.
• May routinely provide guidance and leadership to othercounselors in assessing needs anddetermining appropriate courses of treatment or effective techniques for clientswithin the program as directed by the program director.
• Complete required forms and make all necessary documentationto client files relating toall counseling content, observations, activities and issues relating to each clientcontacted.  Prepare periodic and specialreports relating to work activitiesand project progress.  Prepare documentsfor presentation in court and accompanyclient to court as required.  Participatein or lead projects involved in programplanning and development or curriculum. Perform or manage crisis     interventions as required.
• Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in the application ofappropriate
   modalities,methodologies, approaches and techniques.
• Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conductand adheres to Agencypolicies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Requires a Master’s Degree in a mental health relateddiscipline as well as at least one year related experience in a clinical setting.  Physical Requirements:  Lifting: Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Sitting:  Must be able to sit 30minutes without interruption. Standing:  Must be able to stand 30 minutes without interruption.
