Job Description

SCOPE:

This position will support the development of healthcare services for clients through community consortia, workgroups, partnerships, shared grants, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Training and experience in the area of public health administration or similar focus on health care systems.
• Training in the design and implantation of program evaluation activities.
• Ability to research relevant sources of funding in the public, private, and commercial domains.
• Excellent oral and written English language skills, as this position will interface with professionals in the community and will partner in grant writing.
• Prior experience in leveraging separate programs and community resources into collaborative services or systems of care is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently and also to request or take direction, as needed.
• Physical health that will permit regular contact with people with chronic or communicable diseases.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have basic computer and work processing skills.
• Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adheres to Agency policies
and procedures.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Perform or assist with any departmental operations, under direction, to maintain work flow.
• Attend and participate in a variety of meetings, staffings and task force groups to integrate
activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific
level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.  Ensure safe operating conditions
Within area of responsibility.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

• Computer terminal and common office equipment.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree.  
• Also requires at least some graduate work in public health or related field.  
• Master’s degree preferred but may substitute relevant experience.  
• Requires valid state of Florida Driver’s License and state required insurance.
